Urmi Bhattacheryya (PhD Cultural Anthropology in Progress) awarded Center for Humanities and the Arts (CHA) Summer Fellowship. Urmi will use the fellowship to aid her summer fieldwork across three cities in India. The fieldwork is an important component of her original research on marital rape.

Andrea Steffes-Tuttle (MA Cultural Anthropology in Progress) successfully defended her masters thesis "Meaning and Morality: How Tools of Business Ethics Shape Worker Subjectivities" on April 9th. Her committee members were Professors Alison Cool (advisor), Carla Jones, and Carole McGranahan.

Seamus Klingsporn (BA Anthropology in Progress) was selected for an Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program grant to support his research for his honors anthropology seniorthesis, "Weightlifting and Masculinities: An Ethnographic Study of Weightlifting among Young Men in Boulder." His UROP and honors advisor is Alison Cool.

Anna Wynfield (Cultural Anthropology, PhD Candidate) awarded Center for Humanities and the Arts (CHA) Summer Fellowship. The fellowship will provide funding for Anna to continue her dissertation research this summer. Her research explores the role of evidence-based data in experiences of pregnancy in the US.

Sarah Coronna (BA Anthropology in Progress) received the 2024 Jacob Van Ek Award. This award is given to students who were nominated by a faculty member for their superior academic achievement and service to the university, the Denver and Boulder communities, or larger national and international communities.
